My partner Madalyn Bates and I mocked up a redesign of Culture Now's mobile app. Culture Now’s Museum Without Walls is a massive online database that is comprised of free and accessible cultural sites within several cities in the US. Their app attempts to give people access to these sites on the go — everyone from the tourist to the local can discover cultural gems in their city. Unfortunately the current app tries to incorporate the entire database - it is overwhelming. Our design focuses on curating the database for each individual user. We do this by focusing on the user’s current location and building in a social component by allowing people to “like” each site.
